Asters

Fall is coming, bringing with it some exciting flowers to give our bouquets a fresh, fall look. Check out these two fall flowers that have amazing texture and give a nice full look together with a pop of colour. Wow!!

Asters – sometimes called “The enchanted flower” gets its name from the Greek word for “star”. Lush texture and a variety of vibrant fall colours, make these wildflowers a great accent to all bouquets. They are available in shades of purple, red, dark pink and white.

It is the September birth flower, and the 20th Anniversary flower. It sends the hidden message “Take Care of Yourself For Me”.

Mostly these flowers are seen as great perennials in the garden, but they are long lasting as a cut flower. Don’t forget your gloves! – The foliage has a tendency to become slimy, so be sure to remove any leaves that will be under the water. Give them a fresh cut and fresh water every few days and these beauties will last at least a week.

Sedum is a succulent plant that has a full head of tiny blooms, it is available late summer to fall and it also makes a great addition to a fall floral bouquet. Most commonly in a lovely lavender/pink colour.

Look for both of these flowers in our fall bouquets!
